While in the army, when he wasn’t on duty, he and two other buddies, named themselves “The Melody Aces” and played at the Klondike Tavern in Tacoma, Washington.

After getting out of the service, he and a friend Jim Littleton, bought a club in Spokane, Washington, where they played music six days a week with Jim Meloche and Hap Joplin. Buster was named “Male Entertainer of the Year” in Spokane, Washington for 3 different years in the 1970’s.

In 1997, Buster moved back to Murfreesboro, Arkansas, where he has been active in volunteer work. He and some friends, Boo 
Cherokee Too, a mother-daughter duo, Sandy and Rachel Faulkner
For 6 years Buster, with Herb Meeks, The Cherokee Too, Billy Herrell,
and others were regulars on a weekly local radio show in Glenwood, Arkansas. The show aired on 104.5 FM, 670 AM, and also on 106.9 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. It also aired in Canada, in Australia, and over the internet.
In 2001 he headed up the Elberta Jamboree at the Elberta Art Center in Nashville, Arkansas and is on Arkansas Arts on Tour, a program of the Arkansas Arts Council, web site arkansasarts.com .
Buster’s son Darrin, lives in Spokane, Washington, and his daughter Keri, lives in New York, New York.
